The following is a sample announcement for the Partnership Award. Items in ALL CAPS should be read with the names of the HOST, OFFICERS, LOCATIONS, etc., and the DATES of the program, DEADLINES, etc.

PARTNERSHIP AWARD RECOGNIZES OUTSTANDING CAMPUS-COMMUNITY PROJECTS
LOCATION, DATE - The HOST announces the YEAR Partnership Award for STATE. The award, which includes AWARD AMOUNT (usually $10,000-$ 20,000) for the winning program, is open to STATE colleges or universities working in partnership with community groups. Each partner receives one half of the award, a partnership trophy and Certificate of Partnership Excellence from the foundation. The award aims to apply teaching and learning from institutes of higher education toward solutions to problems in the communities. Academic Service learning is recognized and honored.
Hundreds of programs have applied for the award in a variety of states over the years, covering a wide array of community issues including child advocacy and children's health, environment, community and economic development, literacy, disability and neighborhood revitalization.
The award is open to on-going collaborative community improvement projects that have been in operation for at least two years. The deadline for applying for the award is DATE. A selection committee composed of representatives from higher education, business, and government organizations will choose the finalists and winner of the Partnership Award. The award ceremony will be held DATE AND LOCATION
The Partnership Award is a program of the Campus Community Partnership Foundation (C2PF) to foster academic service-learning and community development activities among college students and the faculty who work with them. By calling attention to the best and most effective programs, the award stimulates interest and motivates action among prospective program volunteers and among those who provide funding for such community programs. Additionally, the award provides important distinction for faculty members who encourage students to serve the community with their academic learning. More information is available at: C2PF.org
