Vision and Mission

Vision

Our vision is that students enhance their education with academically-connected community service, and that this experience leads to a lifelong commitment to serve the community and make a difference to the lives of others and their own.

With higher education encouraging student social entrepreneurship, service learning, and with faculty developing students in problem solving skills by applying their discipline of study and effective communication skills in real life situations, communities are benefited. C2P provides Campus Community Partnership Award for recognizing the best practices in campus community collaborations and aims to increase the number and the effectiveness of these partnerships.

C2P also promotes student social entrepreneurship by offering a Campus Academic Service Entrepreneur (CASE) competition, to students for innovative solutions for community problems in which they are able to apply the knowledge they have gained from their academic discipline for a real impact in society.

Mission

Our mission is to introduce, encourage and inspire students and faculty to engage in community service as an educational strategy by organizing competitions for the best innovative and entrepreneurial ideas for student-led, academic-service work and the best practices in ongoing campus-community partnerships.

The foundation encourages and supports student social entrepreneurship across disciplines such as Science & Technology, Environmental Sustainability, Education, Music & Arts, Gender Equality (diversity and women societal issues), Law, Economics, Journalism, Sports-medicine, psychology, law and other.

Grants are given for student's innovative community service projects linked to their academic discipline to address social problems and community development. Awards are given to recognize the best practices of program collaboration between an educational institution and the community.
