Vision, Mission and Practice
The foundation recognizes best practices in campus community partnerships and excellence in academic service learning. It aims to develop social responsibility in students by encouraging them and their faculty to address and solve community problems with innovative and sustainable solutions linked to their academic disciplines in partnership with the community.
C2P gives awards and grants to the best practices in Campus Community Partnerships and student's innovative service projects that solve community problems in partnership with the community.
The Mentor Walk (MW) is a collaborative effort to addresses the school "dropout crises" in the US through a mentoring strategy. It celebrates mentoring and recognizes the existing mentoring groups in the community. The Walk engages college students as "near peer" mentors for school children and their parents in a conversation about the importance of finishing school. The program is conducted in partnership with academic institutions and the community and encourages caring adults who want to play a positive role in our children's future and organizations that support mentoring to participate. The celebration of mentoring includes a focus on health and encouraging kids to make healthy choices.
C2P has educational and organizational partners worldwide and welcomes new partners that enhance its mission.
